Staff Training Event on Digital Transformation for Biomedical Engineering – Materialise, December 3 – 5, 2024
A three-day BIOMEDIX training session was held at Materialise HQ, bringing together professors, researchers, and industry representatives from the consortium. Led by Arsham Makaryan, Technical Application Engineer at Materialise, the programme focused on hands-on learning with the Mimics and 3-matic medical software platforms.
Participants explored how advanced 3D-modeling tools support medical applications, improve design workflows, and enhance patient outcomes. The training concluded with a demonstration of augmented reality (AR) visualization, showcasing future possibilities for clinical planning and education.
The event provided valuable insights into software capabilities, potential development directions, and opportunities for collaboration within the BIOMEDIX consortium. Knowledge gained during the sessions will support upcoming project activities and strengthen innovation across partner institutions.
