The BIOMEDIX Project is a collaboration across Latvia, Romania, Poland, Spain, Serbia, Croatia, Germany, and Belgium focused on biomedical advancements through digital transformation, BIOMEDIX aims to revolutionize learning, enhance biomedical engineering skills, and drive entrepreneurship among students. Utilizing advanced additive manufacturing and digital tools, including VR/AR and 3D bioprinting, the project promotes new applications in healthcare while fostering collaboration between universities, industry leaders, and students. Together, we are paving the way for digital innovation in biomedicine, supporting healthier societies through cutting-edge education and technology.

BIOMEDIX International Workshop on Biomedical Engineering and Scientific Research
The BIOMEDIX International Workshop on Biomedical Engineering and Scientific Research will take place on 12–13 March 2026 at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
The two-day programme will focus on developing joint diploma projects, preparing collaborative scientific publications, and live demonstrations of additive manufacturing and biomedical technologies, including FDM, SLA, SLM, Vacuum Casting, Bioprinting, and MIMICS software applications, as well as inter-laboratory visits and networking sessions.
The workshop provides an opportunity to establish new collaborations, align upcoming BIOMEDIX activities, and gain hands-on experience with advanced digital and additive technologies in biomedical engineering.
Registration is open until 10 March 2026.

(Concluded) BIOMEDIX International Workshop on Biomedical Engineering
The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN) organized, on October 10, 2025, within the framework of the ERASMUS KA220 BIOMEDIX project, an international workshop dedicated to biomedical engineering — an event that brought together over 150 participants, including faculty members and students (bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels) from UTCN, representing various fields such as Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics, Medical Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering, as well as from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Cluj-Napoca. (Concluded) BIOMEDIX Summer School Concluded in Poznań
The BIOMEDIX Summer School took place from July 21–31, 2025 at Poznan University of Technology, bringing together almost 50 students, researchers, and company experts from 8 countries. Over ten days, participants engaged in hands-on training in 3D printing, medical imaging, CAD design, and Mixed Reality for biomedical applications. More details.
